NOTE: the photo icon indicates the more accurate location of the tree. This loop is almost 13 kms long and utilizes both the Heritage Trail and The Rotary Trail. It is mostly om pavement (trail and road) ride with a short cross country section on the Rotary Trail. The loop has six trees on it : #2, #5, #16, #24, #25, #22 . The loop can start anywhere, and for this start it is at the South end of Heritage Trail (Mansfield Rd.). Please note the GPS coordinates of the tree, because at times it is not exactly as indicated on the map. Tree #2 is near the start and just off the main trail, the same for Tree #25. You can approach Tree #16 as per the map or from Anderton Road. For the next tree, Tree #24, it is a nice cycle through The Orchard area, and a little further on will be Tree #5. Once this tree is visited, be aware of vehicle traffic, as you will be going on the road and down the First Street hill, past Puntledge River Park. Continue on to Tree #22 (this tree can also be reached from the Lake Trail Rd entrance of the park) and the return trip will take you along Robert Lang Drive and a couple of options to stop and walk down to the river (at the end of Rod and Gun Road). After this you will link up with The Rotary Trail on your way back to complete the loop.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
