DTR Dunes 50 Miler
Hard packed, some roots, and mostly single track trails with breathtaking views of Pine Flatwoods, wetland prairie and century-old cypress wetlands as you reach Hendrick Bridge crossing.
Miles 6 - 9
You reach the Dunes of Heaven at 6.12 miles. Here you will have about 2.5 miles of rolling sands dunes. This is an imperial eco-system of the sand pine scrubs.
Miles 11.70- 13.5
Here you will run along historic old Dixie road and where Military Camp Murphy was based at. (No car access) The first half mile is paved but then it will be mixtures of rolling sand, with shell rocks with some paved areas. Here you are back into single track trails that run along the sand pine scrub. (Rolling Sand Dunes)

Miles 13.5 -15.0
Here you reach Dunes of Hell. This is a continuous rolling sand dune that has a view of the beautiful intercoastal and the view of Hobe Tower Mountain.
Miles 15-16
Here you will run along historic old Dixie road. (No car access) The first half mile is newly paved but then it will be mixtures of sand with some paved areas with a couple of rolling hills.
Miles 16-20
Heading back to Heaven
Here you will have about 2.5 miles of rolling sands dunes as you reach the imperial eco-system of the sand pine scrubs a little mixture of hard packed dirt and sand with some rolling hills.

Hard packed, some roots, and mostly single track trails with breathtaking views of Pine Flatwoods, wetland prairie and century-old cypress wetlands as you reach Hendrick Bridge crossing.
