On this ride you will travel past Amish farms and beautiful Western Pennsylvania scenic rural landscapes with gradual hills and winding roads. There is a short unpaved downhill section at almost exactly the 7 mile mark, (several hundred feet), that some road bikers may prefer to walk. You will also cycle past a huge annual Amish Benefit Auction which you are welcome to visit. Your rest stop at the mid-point will be at the Fresh Market, a New Wilmington community market offering fresh home-grown vegetables, local musicians, locally raised beef, local artists, and a variety healthy food choices. Near the end of the ride you will see the Banks Covered Bridge over Neshannock Creek and if you choose, can take a short unofficial detour for photos and to wiggle your toes in the water.
