We start our walk at the Collage of Charleston. The oldest municipal collage in the US. The College of Charleston's main campus in downtown Charleston includes 11 residence halls, 19 historic homes, five fraternity houses and nine sorority houses. It contains a mix of modern and historic buildings. In 2014, the college was ranked as one of the top 10 best landscaped colleges on the east coast. In 2017, Travel + Leisure magazine named the college "America's Most Beautiful College Campus.”
Harleston Village is one of the oldest neighborhoods on the Charleston peninsula. The streets of Harleston Village are almost all named after prominent men of the late 18th century who were active in the Provincial government as well as leaders in the American Revolution. Some of these well known streets are Gadsden, Bull, Montagu and Pitt. At 21 Magazine Street you will find The Old City Jail building served as the Charleston County Jail from its construction in 1802 until 1939. They are remodeling it at the moment, but will be a fascinating tour for architecture and history nuts. As you walk go back in time. Imagine what it was like to sit on the porches neighbors saying hello as they walk past. What it was like to shop at the corner market. Take the time to stop and stare. You won’t be disappointed.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
