    You can also use the Delete Homestretch function under the Plot menu - this lets you drag either the start or end points back along the route to shorten it.

    I've figured it out and the answer was a bit obvious. The 'delete section' function does what I was after perfectly well.

    I've tried searching the forums but can't find this covered anywhere, this could well be down to my ineptitude. I've created a linear route but now wish to move the start point a little closer to the end point, is there a way to do this? My fumblings, dragging and dropping the 'A' point to the desired place, so far result in extending the route so you have to go back on yourself to the original start point before turning around and heading towards the finish (via the new start point). Hope this makes sense.
