Hi Skip - If you zoom right in on the map you'll see that the route does briefly turn left into Coltsfoot Trace at step 1. It's possible that you may have accidentally clicked into this road. To avoid this happening it's best to zoom in close when plotting and also to click away from any intersections.
On your other question, there isn't any way to disable buttons on the View Route page I'm afraid.

The turn by turn description of route # 952507 do not match the map itself. You can see this in the errors in Step 1 (Turn left onto Coltsfoot Trace), and at other steps along the course.
Is this a known problem? Can I disable the Print button from the map display page at this URL: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/952507

We're pleased to announce that we have invested in adding PDF print capabilities to plotaroute.com, so you can now print route maps and directions directly to PDF files.
Printing from web browsers often creates different results depending on the browser you are using, but PDF printing is carried out on our server, so enables us to provide a consistent output regardless of your choice of browser.
The print settings themselves are unchanged, so you still have lots of control over what you want printed and how you want it to look, including a choice of map types and the option of including elevation profiles and directions.
If you have a Premium account you can also print your route maps over multiple pages to show more detail, including a separate elevation profile for each section of the route.
