Hi Sean,
I'm glad you like ths site - thanks for the kind feedback.
I'm pleased to say you can already toggle the display of symbols and labels on the map. When you view a route, you can choose to hide details like this by clicking on the relevant switches in the DISPLAY menu above the map. When editing a route in the route planner these switches are at the bottom on the map. On the mobile version of the route planner you need to click the settings icon (a gear symbol) to access these switches.

New user and loving the software.
Feature request is to allow toggling the custom symbols and labels as a layer, similar to the arrows and mileage markers.
I'm plotting a 40km fatbike race course and needed to add points for volunteers, aid stations, police, start/finish, etc. Once added to the map it gets a bit cluttered when we want to review the timing in the animation run.
