Very slow and keeps checking to see if I am signed in

    Hi Fred,

    I'm sorry about the long loading times.
    I can assure you that this has nothing to do with our hardware.

    We've recently experienced bot crawling attacks, against which the devs have implemented some security measures.
    You can read Antoine's posts about it in this topic.

    The devs are still monitoring the situation and updating the security measures to improve their effectiveness and the server response time.

    Hello. I’ve been experiencing the same problem for quite some time now: extremely long loading times. Since I can’t imagine that you suddenly have 10,000 new customers putting such a heavy load on the system, one might get the impression that you may be cutting back on hardware. I hope that’s not the case — after all, as a premium customer I’m paying the full price. Please look into this and don’t let it become a permanent issue. Otherwise, I’m very satisfied with Plotaroute.

    Checking to see if I'm logged in - it doesn't happen very often normally, but yesterday it was happening maybe every 4th or 5th time I tried to save something, and it was taking about 3 to 20 seconds each time it did it. I was reorganising my tags, so I was doing a lot of 'saving'. All I can say is a box appears stating that Plotaroute is checking that I am signed in, after a short time the box disappears and the save happens, I will try to get a screenshot of it next time it happens. Just to let you know, I think Plotaroute is great.

    Hi!

    I have just tried plotting and saving routes, both on the web app and the website, whilst being logged in and logged out: no issues right now.
    As your messages were posted yesterday, this may be due to the number of users plotting routes at the same time.

    I'll bring this up with the devs to see if anything specific happened this weekend.

    Active50: could you tell me more about the web app checking to see if you're signed in?
    This is not something I've come across before.

    Yes, I have found online is very slow today.  The simplest action needing waits of 30 seconds.  Hopefully temporary but frustrating +++.

    I sometimes find the app frustratingly slow to load something or to save a route. Also. it annoyingly keeps checking to see if I'm signed in, which also takes a long time to load. I'm getting fed up with watching a rotating circle!

    Does anyone else have this problem?
