Dear Plotaroute Community,
Before we step into the new year, we would like to share a quick update about what’s been happening recently on Plotaroute.
Over the past few months, the platform has been affected by repeated attacks that caused slowdowns and unexpected issues for many of you. While this period has been challenging, we’ve been working steadily behind the scenes to strengthen the website and restore a better experience.
During this process, we also addressed a number of bugs, including:
• the Visorando link working again
• Plotaroute email sending back to normal
• Garmin synchronisation restored
• image uploads no longer producing blank images
• FIT file uploads functioning again
• several map types available again
• the widget’s static map preview displaying correctlyWe know how frustrating these issues can be, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and the messages that helped us identify and resolve them.
What’s Next
We’re preparing a short community survey for early 2026. This will help us better understand your needs, your priorities, and how you experience the platform today. Your feedback guides us, and we’re looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for sticking with us through this tricky period. We remain committed to keeping Plotaroute reliable and enjoyable, and we’ll continue to share updates as we move forward.

please add a easy sharing option for private maps for paid accounts, that was the main reason i upgraded, to realize, thats not a feature...

Thanks for the update.
I've followed many nice routes this year that I've created in plotaroute.
My wish is for some small improvement updates in plotaroute while we waiting for the visorando app to also be an alternative for creating routes in a more controlled manner.
Thanks for this year and I've looking forward to new exciting running routes next year.
