Julien,
This has been a major problem, subscribers' emails being ignored.
I would suggest that some of your time should be processing that list, independent of the Forum posts ….
Regards,
Mark
Hi Trevor, Mark, all,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Since I posted the 2025 News here, I've been actively responding to forum posts while also keeping up with email inquiries.
On Wednesday afternoon, we discovered an issue with our support system, which explains why users didn't receive our responses. We resolved the problem yesterday, and I resent all the messages I had worked on, to ensure they reached you this time.
Trevor, I didn’t notice your forum post until this morning, but you should have received my email response yesterday afternoon.
I sincerely apologize for this oversight and assure you that from now on, I will regularly check emails and respond to them, just as I do with forum posts. If you’ve previously tried to reach us by email without an answer, please feel free to resend your message. And if you haven’t received a response within a week, please also feel free to share this with me in a forum topic.
Kind regards,
Julien
Thank you, Julien, that's a tremendous help to the PR community!
Just so that I'm clear - as a premium Plotaroute subcriber you are suggesting that I give you ideas for improement that I'll never see unless I become a Visorando subcriber, as they will only be implemented going forward in the other product, but that I could of course cease being a Plotaroute subscriber when the annual renewal is due and just buy a membership of the other product, which does not have the funcitonality that Plotaroiute offers?. How does this even make any sense?
Thanks and good luck in thje new job
Interesting question!
Julien, can you confirm that subscribing to one platform actually gives access to both? Is my understanding correct?
Mark
Hi Luis and Mark,
I understand that the situation is not ideal, especially regarding requested features.
There is a link from Plotaroute to Visorando, Premium membership included, but not the other way round.
As the team will only work on Visorando and improving the Plotaroute engine that is going to be implemented, we want to offer the possibility to transition from Plotaroute to Visorando once this is done.
But we do understand that users may not want to use Visorando at all, even if we implement the Plotaroute engine.
In this case, we wanted to be upfront and say that using Plotaroute as is will still be possible, but with no further developement.
I understand that if this is your case, sharing new feature ideas might not make any sense.
If it was not clear in my original post, that only users who transition to Visorando, may also see the changes of requested features, I apologize.
I hope this makes things clearer.
Julien
Julien,
Clear to me.
What is the expected timeline before V becomes the new PR?
Regards,
Mark
Hi, Julien.
Thanks for all the updates! It's nice to know there's still some energy behind plotaroute.
> We also acknowledge that the monthly route engine updates have been less frequent than before; However, we plan to change that. Expect more updates in the future, which will be beneficial for both Plotaroute and Visorando.
This as much as anything else has left the site feeling somewhat abandoned. Could you please share when you think we're likely to see an update?

Hello everyone!
I apologise for not being active in the forum recently. I was waiting for a specific update from the devs to share with the community, which I just got!
First of all, regarding the support issue I wrote about earlier this month:
I've been busy since and have now sent back every answer to an email, that had been written by the team before I joined, but had never been received by the Plotaroute users.
Second, about the expected timeline to get the Plotaroute engine to Visorando:
I can’t give you an answer on this. The devs are actively working on every aspect of this massive change for Plotaroute and Visorando. I'll be sharing news as it happens.
Last but not least, regarding the route engine updates, I’ve answered several emails on that exact topic and understand how important it is for OSM maps to be up to date.
I’m happy to share that the devs just informed me that they successfully updated the route engine yesterday!
Have a great day!
Julien
Julien,
Great to hear about getting the email situation under control, that will surely help the community :)
As a matter of interest, how often was the route engine updated in pre-Visraondo days, and what's the expected update going forwards? Like, once a month, twice a year?
Cheers,
Mark
