Parking at Townhill Loch the route goes west past the Golf Course before joining the Bridle Path leading to the road above Townhill. Cross the road here to pick up the track that leads past Russell's Skip Hire yard (mud free alternative shown on map). Go right once past Russell's yard then right again at Highholm farm to follow the track leading past Muircockhall to the Kingseat Road. Cross here going left to follow the path into Kingseat, where a right along Cuddyhouse Road leads to the concrete road going right to Netherbeath Road. On reaching Netherbeath Road go right (through a large gate) over the motorway fly-over to go left on to Kingseat Road then right on to Pleasance Road leading to Queen Margaret Fauld. Go right here then right again to join Whitefield Road going North to join the cycle track, returning to the car park via the top side of Townhill Loch.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
