Parking in the cp at Duloch Community Centre the route goes east, straight through Calais Wood then right on to Sandpiper Drive. Cross at lights then take 1st left on path to Kyle Cresc. Continue diagonally through the estate going right once on Cowal Place, to pass 2 SUDS pools to the left and a bit further on a Kids Play-park on the right. Go right once on Beauly Cresc. then left on to Aberdour Rd. At the next junction take a left and continue past the entrance to Fordell Firs (take care here on rough embankment) before taking the next right into the Fordell Estate. On reaching the Estate Gates go left and follow the track all the way round to pass Vantage Bank House and Vantage House on the left. Continue on this track, ignoring the next left (uphill) before going sharp right. At the next junction go right to pass through another set of Estate Gates (cctv in operation here) to pass Fordell Castle (on the left beyond the black iron gates). A bit further on, pass through the gates that were first encountered on the way in to Fordell. From here the outward route can be followed back to the car park. A simpler way can be followed by staying on Aberdour Rd until Sandpiper Drive and continuing until the Calais Wood is reached, where the outward route is followed back to the car park.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
