MG- Hilly Gran Fondo Via Holt & Venetian Marina

This was aimed at a Grand fondo via the Venetian marina tea rooms. It’s difficult to get to as we simply can’t ride Wellands lane, from Nantwich, as it is probably the worst few miles of road in the county. So the only option is to come in from the north on the only approach, which is the other end of wellands lane (called Winsford lane, from Cholmondeston) So we only have to ride half mile of it ( and not the worst bit). Then back on that for half mile and then return via Bunbury etc.
The rest of the route is cracking and takes in Chapel Hill + Pheasent Inn, so this is very hilly and some of the most scenic parts of the county.
It also takes me via Lewis’s cafe Holt so If any of MGVC want to join me they can and the mileage will work for both of us.
It also means we can decide on a cafe finish on the return route as we would have options of Manorwood or Holt, although it would mean a minor change to route, but ostensibly the same distance.
