Paisley To Largs And Greenock (Circular)
Finish Point Paisley Canal Railway Station
This is a circular ride on a mixture of good paved cycle paths and on roads. The terrain is varied with both flat sections for the first few miles at the start and also at the end, with two long hill climbs and descents between.
Starting at Paisley Canal Station the route follows the cycle track for 13 miles to the town of Kirbirnie. Between Kilbirnie and Greenock the route is on the road which includes two long hill climbs and descents: 'Hayley Braes' (between Kilbrine and Largs) and 'Old Largs Road' (between Largs and Greenock). The route then skirts the southern edge of Greenock and rejoins the cycle track towards Paisley.
