This is a nice route of little lanes to the blue bell cafe but not good for winter, if it has been really wet, due to the Greenway, which can become impassable at times, also treacherous with leaves in spring. for winter, as all the lanes are pretty good. pretty flat-ish swell.
The route deliberately avoids my favourite lane to the Blue Bell from Manley Mere, as it is always mucky and wet, The B road is better in winter.
this route also takes via Bruera, where I can either carry on to Holt or head back to Tattenhall etc.
I can also just as easily shorten it by 4 miles at Oscroft, by cutting across the usual way home and missing out Willington corner
Note: This has been edited to remove Carlton lane, which is horrendous, so there is no other real option but to take Greenway in order to avoid Chester.
there is also no need to go on the very busy main road at Cheshire Oaks from Rake lane, as there is a path that leads to Little Staney lane just 100 mars
There is also no option but to take A56? from Mickle Trafford out toward Dunham in order to get to the Blue Bell cafe. However, this Aroad is a good open road with not to much traffic & a cycle lane.
This route has several options to shorten it and take in a different cafe like Meadow Lea at 28 miles, if it felt like 33 was to far to BB cafe. I can also chop off 5 miles and cut across through Oscroft to Walk mill cafe, instead of going to Willaston.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
