Murphy Guffey Scramble
Start any time between 9 am and 1 pm. Follow signs to the parking area on private land at the north of Murphy.
The marked trails will wind through parts of the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area and the Guffey-Black Butte Archaeological District.
Ride parts of the Oregon Trail where pioneers crossed the continent in the mid-19th century. And trace the route of the historic Boise, Nampa & Owyhee Railroad.
Learn about pioneer stockman, Con Shea and the cattle he brought to Owyhee County in 1869. And find out how Guffey Butte got its name.
Draw for great prizes at each checkpoint along the trail. Every checkpoint will have EMTs on duty.
Ride fees: $30 per rider ($20 for riders under 15 years old).
