Het klinkt mooi, natuur bij de stad. Maar wat betekent het precies? Stap op de fiets en laat je verrassen tijdens deze tocht rond het IJmeer. Zelfs vlak langs de A1 ervaar je het buitengevoel. Je fietst tussen stad en land, tussen drukte en stilte, tussen mens en dier. Met het ooit zo omstreden IJburg steeds aan je zijde. Door de geur van de schapen op de dijk waan je je op het platteland. En dat terwijl je Amsterdam bijna aan kunt raken…
IJburg is een Amsterdamse woonwijk, gebouwd in het IJmeer. Verschillende projecten van Natuurmonumenten, gemeente Amsterdam en provincie Noord-Holland hebben gezorgd voor waardevolle natuur rond dit bijzondere stadsdeel.
