From WLC, go onto main road, cross over near Premier Inn, go down Sovereign Rd, will arrive at Canal. Get onto Canal and take the path going down to Wigan Pier - will pass Investment Centre at Poolstock and Trencherfield Mill Flats along the way. Continue under the bridge to Wigan Pier, follow the Canal past B & Q, keep on path, will pass the DW stadium, keep on path. Will go past new apartments at Navigation Bank, continue. Go past the Marina near Crook Village. Turn right at the bridge at Crook Village, back onto main road. Follow road down back to Wigan, passing crossroads where main traffic lights are. Now on Woodhouse Lane, carry on past Vets for Pets, carry on to lights where Co-op shop and Indian are. Take this road, go down, will go underneath railway bridge and past Deanery High School and then past Wigan & leigh College. Cross here at bottom of Market St, go up Market St to centre of Wigan, turn down Library St and back to WLC.
