Bodensee - Lago Maggiore: Etappe 6
Die Strecke folgt dem Rhein flussaufwärts bis nach Hinterrhein, dann geht es über den San Bernardino Pass (2066m). Anschließend geht es entlang des Flusses Moesa bis zum Lago Maggiore.Nach Durchfahrt von Locarno gehts dann ins berühmte Maggiatal hinein bis nach Gordevio.
Es handelt sich dabei wohl um eine eher einfache Alpenüberquerung. Ich habe sie in sechs Etappen eingeteilt; die Etappe mit den meisten Höhenmetern ist die kürzeste... Die Etappenziele sind allesamt Zeltplätze.
Die Höhepunkte der Strecke sind sicher der Bodensee, die Viamala-Schlucht, der San Bernardino-Pass und der Lago Maggiore sowie das Maggiatal.
Etappe 6:
Claro - Gordevio
Vom schönen Zeltplatz in Claro im Tal des Ticino (Namensgeber für das Schweizer Kanton Tessin) geht es nun durch Bellinzona zum Lago Maggiore. Gleich an der Mündung des Ticino befindet sich ein Naturschutzgebiet, das zum Verweilen oder pausieren einlädt. Der weitere Weg führt dann entlang der Uferpromenaden des Lago Maggiore bis nach Locarno. An der Mündung der Maggia direkt hinter Locarno biegt man dann ein und folgt dem Fluss talaufwärts. Nach wenigen Kilometern gelangt man nach Ponte Brolla, dem eigentlichen Eingang in das wunderschöne und berühmte Maggiatal. Hier in Ponte Brolla zwängt sich der Fluss durch weniger als 1m breite Felsspalten, während weietr flussaufwärts das breite von rund gewaschenen Steinen ausgekleidete Flussbett flaches, glasklares Wasser ganz gemächlich fließen lässt. Nach Passage des sehr ursprünglichen Dörfchens Avegno kommt man nach Gordevio; ein ruhiger Ort mit ursprünglichem Kern und neueren Wohnhäusern an der durchfahrtsstraße. Hier befindet sich mein Ziel: Der Zeltplatz Gordevio direkt an der Maggia; perfekt zum Baden. Und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für die Sternfahrten in den folgenden Urlaubstagen...
