This is a simple bad weather loop for Westerly winds and avoiding Tattenhall altogether, due to flooding in Frog lane and Rocky lane. There is pretty good protection, once at Borras and then a cross tailwind to Chester on the better lanes regarding floods and wet conditions. Through to Lavister, via Marford. The Eclestone to Chester can be a tad wet before Handbridge, to make a loop via Chester river front and past the bike factory in order to get back via Saighton & down to Farndon and back on the same leg past Manorwood & through Aldersey. This is to avoid the floods in Frog lane & Rocky lane, so A41 crossing is out as well hence, out and back in via Aldersey. Flat ride bar Couple of little hills.

Cafe if need be in Chester, although I would prefer Lucy’s at Aldford. And Holt beyond or even Lost Barn, Manorwood, but both to close to home.

Note the usual flood at the bottom of Borras hill appears to have been sorted as my last two rides through there were fine.
Also the lane from Borras to Marford has been resurfaced, as has the long hill down out of Marford, This route was impossible before.
Rossette road from Holt can flood easily hence, the hillier version via Borras & Marford.

The only change I might make on the day is from Pulford to head left via Dodleston & then Westminster Park to Handbridge. This is because you can get a flood between Eclesdon to Handbridge. It adds nothing to distance

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
