7 Mile Beach, Estuary And River Don Loop

Run down through the city to the Beach Boulevard, followed by over a mile run on the sand for some resistance training. The run then veers west-ward, and you follow the mouth of the estuary in-land towards Hillhead Student Village. Avoiding the student housing but instead following the riverside path that takes you into the middle of Seaton Park. You then head back to the Westend of the city by coming up the main road: St Machar, then take Leslie Road leading to Hilton Road, continue down Westburn Drive past the medical campus/teaching hospital, continue either through or past Queen's & Westburn Park, back up one final hill to the centre of Rosemount.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
