A two day expedition from Betws Garmon over Snowdon to Pen-y-Pass, taking a less traditional route up the mountain. This walk takes you over the leading peaks up to a saddle in the shade of the mountain to camp the night. The morning brings you up a dense slope of boulders into a small valley encompassing a beautiful mountainside lake. A short scramble up a gully in the cliff face brings you onto the mountain itself, where you will join the main path and carry it along up to the summit. Coming back along the Llaberris bath, you turn off up to the peak of Crib o Ddysgl and take the narrow path that is the Crib Goch, treacherously leading to the peak of the same name. A scramble down the sparse track and then small sections cliff is needed to bring you down from the peak. You can then join back onto the Pyg Track and make a swift journey to Pen-y-Pass, where you can take a bus back to the campsite.
