Saint Savin - Bagneres De Luchon
It passes over Col d'Aspin and Col de Peyresourde.
Col d’Aspin, a Cat 1 climb in Hautes Pyrenees. The summit is 1489 metres altitude. It connects Sainte-Marie-de-Campan, in the upper Adour valley to the west, with Arreau, on the River Neste into Aure Valley to the east. Col d’Aspin has a big reputation and is one of the better known climbs of Le Tour de France.
Col de Peyresourde is a Cat 2 from Avajan (west) in Hautes Pyrénées, the climb is 8.3 km @ 7.6%. You gain 629 m. It is on the borders of Hautes Pyrenees and Haute Garonne. The summit is 1569 metres altitude. It was included in the first mountain stage of Le Tour de France in 1910 and has appeared regularly since. In 2012 there was a stage finish at the Peyragudes Ski Station above the col. There is a small airport at the ski station which featured at the start of the James Bond film Golden Eye
