IMPORTANT NOTES - PLEASE READ!
Likely best on mountain bike due to surfaces.
Care needed on Oxford Canal towpaths as bank eroded and sink holes.
Wigram road access is not right of way - be nice (avoid canal path here if poss as narrow here)
The climb up the side of cutting to exit Lias Line direct onto Ridgeway (at 23.5 mile on detour) is extremely steep, would be tricky even if not carrying a bike. It is not a right of way. Most people will not manage, or even attempt, it.
I have not seen the exit from Lias Line onto Snowford Hill road at 22.8 miles - does it exist? I think so, and will be on E side before bridge if so. If not then either backtrack to Stonebridge Lane, or continue to Fosse Way/B4455, turn right and then right again down Ridgeway Lane (just past Hilltop farm entrance)
Canal towpath around 11 - 12 miles not yet ridden - take care and feedback appreciated (farm track to left for first straight section?)
Crossing of HS2 at 9.3 miles has extremely adherent mud - bike best carried unless v dry. same when passing through muddy gates over the following fields until canal reached.

27 minutes to parking from Catherine De Barnes -
Start:
Roadside parking on Knightcote Bottoms, just off exit 12 M40. ///supposing.expressed.writers

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
