Section between 2-3 miles needs a detailed description and much pathfinding. We used reverse route of page 68 of Alonnisos On Foot, Keller & Tsoukanas, and even then it was challenging due to false goat trails, neglected path and olive groves.
In summary (not enough on its own), barely visible path starts at ENE corner of olive grove south of the house at end of dirt road. "Path" drops down thru maquis to the right of impenetrable bushes. A pine wood is reached, pass through in same direction. Below and to the right is a very neglected olive grove with low stone wall terraces. Follow the left (NW) edge of the grove straight down, along the edge of mature pines. When most of the way down, aim vaguely for the stream bed where the ground flattens out, cross the stream bed at the bottom and find passable maquis on south east side, Emerge onto the road just south of a concrete culvert, next to a big olive tree.
Swim in the sea to recover, stop the bleeding and clean your wounds.
