The route begins at the main entrance to Woodland View (WV) and the follows the perimeter of WV heading towards the Gallery Dining Room (GDR). Follow the path adjacent to the GDR and the staff bike shelters and take care crossing the 3 roads to the entrance of Ayrshire Central Woodland, roads can be busy at various times of the day, therefore take care whilst crossing. On entering the woodland take the path to the right and follow until it exits onto the shared use path to Castlepark, at this point head right towards Redburn Ward and cross the road onto the path adjacent to the rear of WV and head back round towards the main entrance. This is a flat walk that should take around 15 mins at a brisk pace and 20 mins at a slower pace. Please note the woodland has regular rest points and is a quiet and remote space, care should be taken at all times. The walk is approximately 0.906 miles/1.46 km/1595 yds.
