Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

This is the "through the tunnels" loop along the river weaver from and back to Moulton with a short detour to Vale Royal Locks.
The route starts from the Moulton war memorial and can be done in either direction ending at the Lion Hotel for refreshment at the end! As set the route goes down to the river through "the Tunnels" and then north towards the Vale Royal Locks before returning to Moulton.
The surfaces are generally gravel tracks/paths except for the section climbing back up from Vale Royal Locks across the fields to the railway line, which can be muddy in the winter/after heavy rain.
Route is suitable for all the family but note that cyclists share much of the route too.
