DISTANCE: 3 miles to bottom of Staamford, little more to the top
DESCRIPTION: mainly flat canal and trail path
DIRECTION: from the top of Stamford road head down to the first bend and cut down Brooklands footpath, this is quite steep and will bring you out at the Train Bridge , head over Manchester Road to 3 Counties Estate and get on the Canal Path heading in the direction of the Roaches lock, carry on past the Roached Lock and take the next exit off which is just after you climb up the steps near the Tollemarch Pub, get onto Manchester Road turning left heading up to the Royal George Pub, Behind the Royal George enter the bridle path and continue all the way to the end exiting next to the New Bridge Pub, Turn Right here and head along and up Waggon road and right at the top to the Train Station, you can finish here at 3 miles or continue to the top of Stamford for a little over 3 miles
