Embankment Walk Loop

Walk from Gobowen centre (near Co-op) through the village and along a country lane to a walk through some woods and over the canal. The walk Leads to an old railway embankment that used to hold the ifton to weston-rhyn railway line used for transportation of coal from Ifton.
The return takes an alternate route, partly using some of the canal, however if the walk needs to be shortened the direct reverse of the route there could be taken.
The walk follows watts dyke for a large part of the route (excluding the return).
The walk has many opportunities for expansion or modification - there are a number of points that other footpaths cross the walk and the 'end' of the walk where you turn around could be extended beyond the embankment although would require either crossing the B5070 or following it depending on where you went. However, for a moderate to large addition it could be expanded to take you all the way to ifon meadows (Former site of the coal mines which the previous railway conn
