MG- NE To Pickmere, River Weaver ++
This route takes in numerous off road tracks ( short cuts) but they are good, even after a lot of heavy rain.
Particularly nice bit is along the river Weaver on a very good light gravel track, apart from the daft rotary cattle gates x 3 or 4. There are a couple of other short cuts as well, one through the good looking Vale Royal golf club.
There is a long climb on way back, that tests the legs, it never seems to end as it is over a few miles. Great interesting route with lovely village scenes and very quiet lanes. It is probably the best NE routes I have done.
I also have a clockwise version of it stopping at a farm shop cafe after 37 miles near Davenham. Where as this anti-clockwise route stops at the Red lion after 27 miles- ish.
NOTE: this route has some plotting issues that need editing to get accurate plot, where Plotaroute has gone straight.
