Leave Bield by rear door. Go down Orchard Place to Cornton Road and turn left. Go along to Zebra and cross.Between No 1 Cornton Road and Water works building turn right onto a narrow grassy track. Follow this down to a concrete 'bridge' over the burn and turn right to follow the track along by the river bank heading back towards Bridge of Allan village. Head towards Haws Park and there follow any of the cut swathes to cross the park nearest to the allotments. At the pavement turn right , cross the road, go right and return to Bield by the front entrance if possible. This is a short walk, 0.7 mile, but time is needed for nature study and a seat at a bench.
Due to storms take care on narrow path which is eroding into the river.

About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
