Our legendary, annual charity cycle was another victim of the pandemic. Normally, 8 to 10 M&S employees of all varying levels of fitness would embark to cycle 200+ miles in 3 exhausting days over hills and through valleys in all weathers to raise money for our chosen charity [to date we have managed to raise over £13k].
As we’re unable to all get out on the road together, we’ve decided this year to do a virtual challenge, with a difference. The route will take us all the way from the South to the North Pole, a gruelling, 12440 miles.
The challenge is to cover the 12440 miles by any means possible from Friday 16th October to Monday 21st December 2020.
Our staff will be donating their steps, miles of Km to help complete the journey and will do so through activities such as cycling, running, walking, rowing, roller blading, skateboarding, horse riding & swimming.
Our aim is to arrive in the North Pole just before Christmas to help Santa deliver a special present this year
