When I try to import a GPX file created on plotaroute.com to strava, the following message appears: http://prntscr.com/84qc7a

    "More information"  redirects to: https://strava.zendesk.com/entries/21820444-Uploading-GPS-files-without-time-information

It's not possible to upload a GPX file in strava created in plotaroute.com?

Strava accepts activities - routes you've completed (i.e. routes you ride or run etc.). Plotaroute draws you a route, which is basically a map (i.e. only shows you directions). When you upload *map/directions* to strava as an activity strava has no idea what you mean? Activity has to contain time information along with coordinates (i.e. shows where you've been and when). Hope this helps

P.S. uploading GPX into strava routes section is not supported, so I assume we are talking activities here

Yes, it helps, thank you. I understand that there is only possible to upload a gpx file on strava than we have completed. But, my objective is to create a track in plotaroute.com and then use it on strava app on android, just because the interface of plotaroute is better then the interface of strava create a new route. If it is possible to create a new route on strava (manually), why doesn't possible to import a plot form another website?

I'm talking about strava but if you know some application (runtastic, endomodo, runkeeper, etc) which enables to import a plot from plotaroute and use it to a new route, please tell me.

With Strava you would need add time stamps to plotaroute gpx first, import as activity and then convert to the strava route. If you don't care about particular application, there are several apps (sport trackers as well as navigation ones)  that would work for your needs so much work (i.e. would allow direct route import). Couple examples which come to mind are Runtastic (sport tracker) and osmand (navigation)

I got it, I add time stamps to a plotaroute gpx with http://gotoes.org/strava/Add_Timestamps_To_GPX.php, but after I add the activity to strava, when I'm "creating" the route, strava didn't accept the route because there are some paths that it doesn't recognizes, and then converts it to paths that strava knows. So, I'll follow the advice to start using Runtastic or Osmand. Thank you

Hi there - I think we can help you out with this.  We should be able to add artificial timestamps to GPX downloads as part of our next upgrade that will be released soon.  This should hopefully allow GPX files from plotaroute to be imported to any application that needs timestamps as well as the coordinates.

I'm pleased to say that GPX downloads of routes from plotaroute.com now include timestamps, so should now be compatible with Strava and other applications that require timestamp data. Yiu You can set the timestamps using the new Route Timer feature.
