Is it possible to generate an url that connects waypoints?

When I make a route on maps.google on my pc, I copy the url to myself, so I can pick it up on my phone. I use FB-messenger for this.

When I tap on the url in my FB-messenger, maps.google opens with the whole route and it is possible to use turn by turn navigation of google maps.

The only thing I miss is an url, that is generated on my route. Maybe only from the "Plot With Waypoints" functionality.

    Thanks, Hans

That's a geat suggestion Hans.  We don't have a way of doing this at present but I've added it to our new Feature Request list.  In the meantime, it is possible to download routes as GPX or KML files from plotaroute.com and import these to Google Maps (the GPX Route option maybe what you need if you just want the waypoints).  You can do this under the My Maps option in Google Maps where you need to click Create Map at the bottom of the side panel to create a blank map and then the Import link. I'm not sure if you can then use this for navigation though.

May I suggest vice versa ?

Q1: A google map link, with navigationtrack, import into plotaroute to generate a tcx output file inclusive navigation hints to be used by tcx compatible devices.

Q2: Plotaroute produces a nice gpx track with navinstructions in (associated) waypoints or a very similar technique (clone) as the tcx example.

But plotaroute tcx <sym> in the resulting gpx associated waypoints all have same <sym> flag.

It should be nicewhen plotaroute out produces <sym> corresponding to the (16) tcx <PointType> The 4 most important: Left,Right,Straight,Generic.

Actual example: JavawaRTWtool converts tcx course with coursepoints to a gpx track with waypoints with a (best) corresponding <sym>.

    <PointType> .tcx

"Generic", "Summit", "Valley", "Water", "Food", "Danger", "Left", "Right", "Straight", "First Aid",

"4th Category", "3rd Category", "2nd Category", "1st Category", "Hors Category", "Sprint"

    <sym> .gpx

"Flag","Summit","Dropoff","Drinking Water", "Restaurant", "Danger Area", "Navaid, White/Red", "Navaid, White/Green", "Navaid, White", "Medical Facility","Number 4, Red", "Number 3, Red", "Number 2, Red", "Number 1, Red", "Number 0, Red", "Civil"
