@John ... thanks for the detail. A shame that that's happened. The link was really useful and I had no idea the F3 could actually show turn directions, quite amazing that Garmin's own software doesn't support it easily. One day of course it would be awesome if plotaroute could export FIT files but I do understand that it's not a straightforward task. As ever, looking forward to the continued evolution of the service.

Browsers are unfortunately withdrawing support for plugins like Garmin Communicator.  However, you can download routes from plotaroute.com and copy them to the NewFiles folder on your GPS device.  The Fenix 3 will only accept routes files in FIT format though and at present we don;t have an option to download routes in this format, so you would need to download them in TCX format and use a converter to convert them to the FIT format (more information here: http://runningbadger.blogspot.co.ke/2015/08/a-tool-to-help-with-navigation-on.html)

    Version of Safari 10
    macOS Sierra
    Communicator plugin 4.2.0.0

Garmin site shows plugin detected (http://software.garmin.com/en-US/gcp.html)

Plotaroute dialogue for downloading direct to device does not.

Known issue? Currently unable to direct download GPX or TCX files to Garmin Fenix 3.

    Many thanks,
