Mobile devices not updating map tiles even with good connectionFORUMS HOME SEARCH FORUMS

Hi, I often find when navigating with my Android Mobile using the Plotaroute App that the map tiles do not update in a timely manner despite having a full signal. The app correctly shows my location and Google Maps update instantly when scrolling and zooming but I just get grey areas on Plotaroute. Sometimes switching between satellite and map views a couple of times will wake it up but not always. It gets there eventually but it's frustrating standing around for sometimes several minutes until this happens. is there a workaround for this please?

After a lot of experimentation, I am always able to resolve this issue by re-opening the route from 'My Routes'. This will display the whole route again but allow a very high degree of zoom on any part of it without any delay in updating the map tiles. It is almost as if the whole route is cached in memory when it is first opened but pages are displaced over time and have to be refreshed dynamically. This shouldn't necessarily be a problem but for some reason can then take several minutes even with a full signal. Definitely a problem with the App I'm afraid as Google Maps works flawlessly in parallel, updating instantly, and I sometimes have to use this to follow the route from memory until he Plotaroute App catches up.
