Download route to my edge touring FORUMS HOME SEARCH FORUMS

I have followed all instructions re download - plotaroute to Garmin edge touring on iMac; have plug in , and downloaded all garmin. However the download is always saved not as a route but as a link to Mac Apps store ? Any clues ? thanks.

If you go to your Downloads folder in the Finder on your Mac the file you downloaded should be in there.  Then you need to copy it to your Garmin Edge as per the instructions in this post: How to download routes to a Garmin Edge.

It downloads as a link to the app store and not as a route - do I need a seperate app to use ploataroute and which should I try.

Hi Veronica - there isn't any need for a separate app.  It sounds like you are double clicking on the file rarher than copying it to your device - if you double click on the downloaded file it will try to open it in a suitable app and if you haven't got one it will take you to the app store to find one.  You need to open Finder, locate the file in the Downlaods folder and then drag it to the Garmin/NewFiles folder on your device (or select it by clicking on it once and then choose Copy and Paste from the Edit menu in Finder).
