At the minute the 3D maps always points North this can create issues when walking on the side of a hill making you unable to actually see the marker. It would be handy if you could rotate the maps instead of it being locked.

Thanks for the suggestion Peter.  Are you referring to the 3D maps animated playback?  Unfortuantely Google is discontinuing the current 3D maps plugin that is available to developers, so we won't be able to make any changes to the current set up.  However, we're expecting Google to announce a replacement service in the near future so we can bear this in mind when this comes along.  One concern though is that by constantly changing the maps orientation it may result in a rather dizzy viewing experience!

Yeah that is what I was on about, however if you paused the animated playback then moved the camera to continue. That would suffice.
