Hi Frank - glad you like the site.  Have you tried unchecking the option to include Distance Markers when you download the KML file?  It's posible that these could confuse things if you are using it for navigation.

Hello, I have recently downloaded a route from plotaroute to to Google Earth, on my iPad, and experienced errors in the routing (circuitous directions and overlapping)!  Any advise on how to avoid this?  I use this tool to identify busy roads and circumvent likely high traffic areas. BTW, thank you to the plotearoute developers for such a great tool.
