Create a route and upload to MapMyRideFORUMS HOME SEARCH FORUMS

Before I ask any question, please know the following:

1. I'm very new to cycling.
2. I ride strictly for pleasure and stay away from competition even against myself.
3. I have little to zero knowledge about the variety of android apps out there for track recording and navigation.
4. I started using the free version of MapMyRide on an android phone with no data plan.

I really like the idea of creating a route on plotaroute.com and uploading it to MapMyRide so I can follow it.

1. Is this possible?  If so, any suggestions on how would be great.
2. Is there a better way (software, online service, etc) to accomplish what I want and still remain as cost free as possible?

I don't have any knowledge of the MapMyRide app I'm afraid.  You can download routes from plotaroute.com in various formats, including TCX, FIT, GPX and KML, so if the app has a facility to import files in either of this formats, it could possibly provide what you need.

There are a number of apps that other members of our site have used for navigation.  OSMAnd seems popular and also Track Navigator.
