Hi, I'm new here.  This may be of interest.

When transferring routes generated on Plotaroute to my Etrex 10 by usb cable I note that this can be done without resorting to Basecamp, which I originally used, but which now flags up MSI Error all the time during the download?  Just downloaded the Plotaroute track as a gps/gpx track to my download folder appearing as 'unnamed route', copied from download folder to device Etrex 10 directly and changed the track name on the device.  If you try and change the name in your download folder (which is easier) it doesn't appear on the device.

This frustrated me for a while till I found this workaround.

Your OSM path maps are excellent and match up well with the free OSM maps that I can download onto my Etrex 10 using the free mkgmap programme. (Garmin say you can't download maps onto the Etrex 10!).  I usually limit the size of the mkgmap output image to less than 5Mb.

    Great plotting programme!

    Jonathan
