Course point limit exceeded? FORUMS HOME SEARCH FORUMS

Hi 

After plotting a route in the map view I came in total to 42 “directions & notes”. Now I want to export it for my Garmin Fenix 5 as tcx file. From my understanding the Fenix can only handle 50 turn directions so a set it to 50 in the export options.

For whatever reason Plotaroute gives me this message:

Directions exceed course point limit by 32 - only the first 50 will be downloaded

Any idea what I’m doing wrong? 

Do you have turn warnings set to yes in export dialog? Then you will have twice as many course points as dorections exported.

Hi Kai - Peter's answer probably explains the message you're getting.  Each 'turn warning' is an extra coursepoint (in addition to the ones for the turns themselves), so deselecting turn warnings when downloading should solve the problem.
