Garmin Montana 680 AlertsFORUMS HOME SEARCH FORUMS

Hi there. When I transfer a gpx file to my Montana & then follow the route I am  alerted to every 'via point' as well as every turn, one marked with a blue flag, the other with a blue pin. Any way of removing the 'via alert'?

Hi Angus - glad you like the site, thanks for the compliments. I think the only way to avoid the alerts for directions that aren't turns is probably to edit the route in the route planner and delete the relevant directions from the list before downloading it to the GPX file. A waypoint will be added to the GPX file for each direction, so that is what is presumably causing the alerts.
