I am trying to lengthen a tiny part of a route, but when I try to drag it out, the entire map moves along with the plotter.

What is happening?

It's hard to know without seeing what you're doing DeAnne.  If you're using the Replot Section tool to make the changes you need to move your mouse over the dashed line until the cursor chnages to a hand symbol and then drag the small circle that appears over the line. Our tutorial video on editing routes mignt help.

I was using both the Replot Section and the Drag Point Tool. I tried many times, first one and then the other. I think I saw a line with a lot of circles when using the Drag Point tool. I only saw one red circle. I never saw a dashed line like in the video. Neither tool worked for me. What I ended up doing was delete, delete, delete until I got to the spot, then I changed the route the way I wanted it to be, and then replotted the route. I watched the video several times and it looks easy enough but I simply could not do it. Not to worry, at least for quite a while, because I don't think I will need to change any more routes. Otherwise, I like Plotaroute a lot! Thank you for getting back to me so soon.
