The existing method seems to be limited to joining routes that exist within Plotaroute.

Is it possible to upload a route, then directly append another uploaded file?

Hi Mark,

You can upload a a route that is not on plotaroute and then combine it with one that is already on plotaroute, but you can't combine two routes that aren't on ploraroute I'm afraid without uploading and saving one of them first.

OK, understood. Shame.

I would like to maintain a simple Collection when touring .... the route up to a given day (in blue) and the current day's route (in red). That means joining 2 routes and the tour progresses.

Dead simple when I'm on my PC. However, it does not seem possible when using the app on my Android phone.

Am I missing something? Any chance of implementing this, please? :)

OK, I can use 3rd party apps or do it online, but it would be great to keep it within PR. And the "2 route tour collection" seems like a nice and simple idea.

Sorry to bounce this up .... can you confirm that it is not possible to combine 2 routes using the mobile app, please?  Any plans to implement it?

To add to this ... I have tried to "by-pass" the fact that I have the app installed on my Android phone, ie Chrome Incognito, accessing plotaroute site direct, clicking "Desktop Site", but still the Toolbox Options are limited to what's available on the app itself .... 

Yes, sorry Mark, this feature isn't available on the mobile site. We'll see if we can bump it up the list a bit.

I plotted a route and then added a detour but when uploaded (as gpx) to my mobile walking app (MyTrails), the detour did not show up? Any solutions?

You should start a dedicated post for this problem, it's not related to "Join 2 routes" and may get looked at by admin quicker ....

Hi Mike - detours are a custom feature of Plotaroute and not supported by GPX or most other apps, so you won't be able to transfer them, sorry.
