Yes, it could be that.  There must be a plugin or some software on your computer that is blocking the social sharing buttons for some reason. Try temporarily disabling your browser plugins and any security software.  

Hello and thanks for the quick response.  I am already using Chrome and have now cleared my browser cache but am still getting the same issue.  Would my anti-virus software block the icons?  I am using BitDefender Total Security 2019.

Try clearing your browser cache Christian - this may help. If not, you could try a different browser (Chrome is our recommended browser). 

Hello, I am having the same problem in that I want to share a route to Facebook, but when I click on the share function in plotaroute the panel opens and includes a message telling me that 'Share buttons currently not available - refresh page to retry'

Refreshing the page has no effect.  Are you able to help?

Are you referring to the Browse Routes page?  The share icons on this page have now been moved to the bottom of the page.

Regarding route tags, at the moment tags are only for your personal use for filtering routes on your My Routes page, however we are planning to extend this at some point so that you can share a list of routes with a specified tags.

I have read the FAQ about sharing routes (via the Filter page). That does not seem to work as there are no Share icons (Facebook, Twitter, etc) visible anywhere on the screen. Also, weirdly, there does not seem to be a filter on Tags, which would seem to be pretty useful.

I basically just want to share only those routes with a particular tag.
