Constraining Auto Plot to major highwaysFORUMS HOME SEARCH FORUMS

I love the Plotaroute workflow that allows me to create a route and then import it into Google Earth so I can use the "flyover" feature to record aerial flyovers of trips I’ve taken.  The problem I’ve noticed is that the Auto Plot feature – even when selected with “By Road” and “avoid highways” left unchecked – is notorious for wanting to get off the main highways when possible.

This is really annoying for long trips where I might, for example, want to select Point A and Point B hundreds of miles apart – hoping for Auto Plot to faithfully track the main highways (i.e., the route that Google Maps would have chosen).  Going back and editing the hundreds of points where Auto Plot left the main highway is untenable.

Is there a way to get Auto Plot to look for the most efficient route via car?
