Garmin Instinct and DirectionsFORUMS HOME SEARCH FORUMS

Hi,

I am trying to create a course .fit file with turn by turn notifications, which could work in my Garmin Instinct, but no success. I know that Garmin Instinct is able to do it, because .fit files generated by Garmin Connect app or Garmin express contain such notifications. What could be wrong? Are those TBT notifications generated by plotaroute compatible with Garmin Instinct?

Hi Olda - The FIT files we produce are standard format course FIT files, so there shouldn't be any issue with them as long as your route has directions - the file will contain a coursepoint for each direction and it is the coursepoints that the GPS device uses to notify you of turns. 

It works already. I was just little bit confused by those "Shift back" and "Warn before" download conditions when I tested it.
