Once you've split the route, you'll have two separate routes and can then download each to a GPX file. As Mark said though, you'll need to save the route first before splitting it. If you haven't yet saved the route, you could open the route planner in second tab in your browser so that you have it open in two tabs (it should offer you the option to reload your unsaved route). You can then use the Shorten Route tool in the toolbar to crop each of the routes - remove the first half from one and the second half from the other. You can then save each of the routes and download them.

The Split process will only work if you have Saved the route, ie it is uploaded to Plotaroute (see your My Routes)

It will then create the number of shortened routes you define, and number them automatically.

Go to My Routes, and view each new route. Download each as a gpx file.

Ok, thank you. If I have one route and use split a route , how can I save this to two files gpx ?

We're not able to increase this limit I'm afraid Artur. Routes with vast numbers of points are very slow to load and hog system resources, potentially affecting other users, so it's not really practical to go beyond the current limit. The best thing I can suggest is to follow Mark's advice below and split the route into 2 or more sections. You can use the Split a Route tool in the route planner toolbar to do this. This would make the route much more manageable and also less prone to technical problems.

Just a suggestion, yhy don't you have 2 files, one for the first half, the other for the 2nd half?

I have packet od premium. There is 50 000 waypoints. I have big route (ca 4000 kilometers). Its possible increas to 60 000 waypoints?

Its very imprtant for me and of download gpx track curse.

When I reduce to for example 90% the route has some mistakes, reduce waypoints for example form 55000 to 50000 and its not so good as I need and the route is little wrong.

Can you help me?
