I think what you want may be already available in My Collections (unless you are familiar with that and require something more).

I have an upcoming 9 day trip to Ireland with 14 rides planned. A single Collection incorporates them all, in a single view and then each can be accesses, viewed, edited etc.

Is that what you need? I think you may be refferring to routes you have not planned yourself, though ..... ?

Provide an option to display multiple routes simultaneously on the map.

This would enable comparison of similar or nearby routes.

It would also enable analysis of a sequence of routes such as might be required for a mult-day hike without combining all those routes into one single extended route.

It should then be possible to select any one of those routes for editing.
